Vinyl Howl’s Moving Castle: A First-Person Review
I’ve always been a fan of Hayao Miyazaki’s films, so when I heard that his classic “Howl’s Moving Castle” was being released on vinyl, I was immediately intrigued. I’ve never owned a vinyl record before, but I decided to give it a try for this release.
The album arrived in a beautiful gatefold sleeve, and the record itself is housed in a protective sleeve. The artwork is stunning, and it really captures the magic of the film.
The music is just as beautiful as the artwork. Joe Hisaishi’s score is one of my favorite film scores of all time, and it sounds incredible on vinyl. The sound quality is crystal clear, and the music has a warmth and depth that I’ve never heard before.

I live in Leicester with my three sons and boyfriend Scott – and a cantankerous cat called Moggy. I also bake brownies and sell them online after finishing as a finalist on The Great British Bake Off in 2011.
