When I first heard that Obi-Wan Kenobi was getting his own Disney+ series, I was cautiously optimistic. After all, the Star Wars prequels had been a bit of a mixed bag, and I wasn’t sure if the show would be able to live up to the original trilogy. But after watching the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, I can say that I’m pleasantly surprised. The show is well-made, the acting is top-notch, and the story is engaging.
One of the things that I’m enjoying most about Obi-Wan Kenobi is the focus on the character of Lo La59. Lo La59 is a young Jedi who is struggling to find her place in the galaxy. She’s a powerful Jedi, but she’s also full of doubts and insecurities. Watching Lo La59 come to terms with her own power and potential is one of the most compelling aspects of the show.
Of course, Obi-Wan Kenobi is also about more than just Lo La59. The show also explores the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker, and the impact of Anakin’s turn to the dark side on Obi-Wan. It’s clear that Obi-Wan is still struggling with the guilt of not being able to save Anakin, and it’s fascinating to see how he’s dealing with that pain.
Overall, I’m really enjoying Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s a well-made show with strong characters and a compelling story. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Why Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Lo La59 is Necessary
As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I was thrilled when I heard that Ewan McGregor would be reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for a new Disney+ series. I was even more excited when I learned that the series would be set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. This is a time period that has been largely unexplored in the Star Wars universe, and I was eager to see how Obi-Wan would cope with the aftermath of Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire.
I was not disappointed. The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi have been a masterclass in Star Wars storytelling. They have deftly explored Obi-Wan’s inner turmoil, his relationship with Anakin Skywalker, and the state of the galaxy in the wake of the Clone Wars. The series has also introduced some new and interesting characters, including the Inquisitor Reva and the young Princess Leia.
I believe that Obi-Wan Kenobi Lo La59 is essential for the Star Wars universe. It fills in a major gap in the timeline and provides much-needed context for the events of the original trilogy. It also introduces new characters and storylines that could potentially be explored in future Star Wars projects.
If you are a fan of Star Wars, I highly recommend checking out Obi-Wan Kenobi Lo La59. It is a must-watch for any fan of the Skywalker saga.

I live in Leicester with my three sons and boyfriend Scott – and a cantankerous cat called Moggy. I also bake brownies and sell them online after finishing as a finalist on The Great British Bake Off in 2011.
