How I Discovered the Power of Present Over Perfect with Shauna Niequist

Present Over Perfect: An Introduction

I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist. I want everything to be perfect, from my appearance to my work to my relationships. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that perfection is impossible. And more importantly, it’s not even desirable.

That’s why I was so drawn to Gretchen Rubin’s book, “Present Over Perfect.” Rubin argues that we need to stop striving for perfection and start focusing on living in the present moment. She says that when we’re constantly worrying about the future or the past, we’re missing out on the joy of the present.

I’ve been trying to incorporate Rubin’s principles into my own life, and it’s been a game-changer. I’m less stressed, I’m more connected to my loved ones, and I’m just happier overall.

If you’re a perfectionist like me, I encourage you to read “Present Over Perfect.” It’s a book that will change your life.
