I’m a huge Nintendo fan, so when I heard about the new Switch OLED model, I was immediately interested. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the improvements over the original Switch. The biggest difference is the new 7-inch OLED screen, which is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are so vibrant and the contrast is amazing. I’ve been playing a lot of Breath of the Wild on it, and it’s like a whole new game. The other improvements, like the wider adjustable stand and the improved audio, are also really nice. Overall, I’m really happy with the Switch OLED model. It’s the best Nintendo Switch yet!

I’ve been a fan of the Super Smash Bros. series since the first game came out on the Nintendo 64, and I was really excited to see what the latest installment would bring. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate did not disappoint! It has everything that I loved about the previous games, and more. There are new stages and fighters, as well as a ton of new features. I can challenge my friends anytime, anywhere, whether we’re on the couch or on the go. I can play any way I wantlocally, online, in TV mode, Tabletop mode, Handheld mode, or even with GameCube Controllers. And I can fight faster and smarter with new and returning techniques, like the perfect shield and directional air dodge. Whether I’m playing against my friends or the computer, I always have a blast with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

4. Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition

The beautiful design is just chef’s kiss, and the upgraded OLED screen is a major improvement over the original Switch. I started writing a parenting and recipe blog called Recipes from a Normal Mum in 2010 when I was on maternity leave with my second born son, which led to a book of the same title published with Quadrille. The blog won a Good House Keeping Award in 2016 for best food blog. I don’t tend to update it much anymore as I’m too busy with other stuff.
Since then I’ve written another cookbook for Iceland supermarket to celebrate their 25 year anniversary. I also worked on a non fiction book without any recipes. It was published in Spring of 2021. I have appeared in various QVC, High Street TV and done shows on BBC Radio.
As for this blog, what started as a personal blog for my books has now transformed into an informative platform. Here, I share insights, answer queries, and continue to document my journey – a mixture of tips, secrets, and life stories. This blog has become a space for connection, learning, and sharing.
I live in Leicester with my three sons and boyfriend Scott – and a cantankerous cat called Moggy. I also bake brownies and sell them online after finishing as a finalist on The Great British Bake Off in 2011.
