Dead Girl Blues by David Sodergren: A Review

Dead Girl Blues by David Sodergren: A Review

When I first picked up Dead Girl Blues by David Sodergren, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The title was intriguing, but the cover art was a little bit too gruesome for my taste. I’m glad I decided to give it a chance, though, because Dead Girl Blues is one of the best crime novels I’ve read in a long time.

The story follows Detective Jack Miller as he investigates the murder of a young woman. The victim, Mary Andrews, was found brutally murdered in her apartment, and there are no witnesses or suspects. As Miller digs deeper into the case, he uncovers a dark and twisted web of secrets and lies.

What I loved most about Dead Girl Blues is the characters. Miller is a complex and flawed protagonist, and I found myself rooting for him even when he made questionable decisions. The supporting characters are also well-developed and memorable.

The plot is fast-paced and suspenseful, and Sodergren does a great job of keeping the reader guessing until the very end. The story is also full of twists and turns, and I never knew what was coming next.

If you’re a fan of crime novels, I highly recommend Dead Girl Blues. It’s a dark, twisted, and unforgettable story that will stay with you long after you finish it.
